Gloss is measured by directing a constant power light beam at an angle to the test surface and monitoring the reflected light. Different surfaces require different reflective angles. Rhopoint glossmeters cover the range necessary to measure any surface from high gloss to matt.
Each version of the Rhopoint Novo-Gloss™ software is available in a basic version (simply read the gloss value on the display) and a statistics version. The statistics version has a memory of up to 999 readings which can be connected to the Rhopoint Novo-soft™ software for further analysis and archiving.

Results Graph - This enables display of all results in a simple graph of reading vs gloss.

Statistics Graph - Data is displayed both as a Bar Chart (Histogram) and as a Normal Distribution.

Checking Standard
In order to control the performance of the glossmeter, the unit must be calibrated against a calibration tile. The Elcometer glossmeters calibration tile is supplied free of charge with all units
