The 134 Folding Linen Magnifier is a pocket counting glass available in two magnifications, the 134-5X at five times and the 134-8X at eight times, used to inspect woven materials and assess fine detail that is hard to judge by eye. It helps an inspector check the spacing between items, identify discrepancies in the weave and count the number of strands per mm or cm, the sort of close work that decides whether a fabric or mesh meets specification.

The graduated baseplate folds flat for carrying and gives a measuring scale beneath the lens. The 134-5X carries graduations of 0-30 / 0-8 mm, while the 134-8X offers higher magnification with graduations of 0-20 / 0-6 mm over a smaller field, so the choice depends on whether wider coverage or finer detail matters more for the task in hand.

The magnifier is used in textile and material inspection where weave density and strand counts need to be verified quickly on site. This product line is now discontinued. It was supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor of precision measurement and inspection instruments.
