About this product

The Elcometer 8 Hole Pot Flange is a flange assembly for Elcometer blast machines, supplied under part numbers MT28552, MT28552N, MT28536 and MT28536N, that connects the abrasive media valve to the pot coupling. Its eight holes ensure the media valve can be oriented accurately without having to over tighten the flange into the pot coupling, which protects the thread and keeps the valve correctly aligned.

The range covers different valve types and connection sizes. The 8 hole reducing nipple flange assembly for blast machines using GV or AGV abrasive valves reduces 32 mm to 25 mm and is supplied as MT28552 in the PED version or MT28552N in the ASME version. The assembly for the Elcometer 1020 using the MGV abrasive valve reduces 32 mm to 13 mm and is supplied as MT28536 in PED or MT28536N in ASME form, so the correct part depends on the valve fitted and the applicable pressure code.

Spare parts are available individually, including the reducing hex nipples and matching flanges in both PED and ASME versions. The 8 Hole Pot Flange is used in abrasive blasting setups for surface preparation. It is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised Elcometer distributor.

When to use the 8 Hole Pot Flange

Use this flange when fitting a media valve to a blast pot and you need the valve to seat in the correct orientation. Its 8 holes let you align the valve accurately without over-tightening the flange into the pot coupling. It is a surface prep blasting spare for pots, pumps and fluid handling.

    • 1
      Accurate valve orientation
Eight holes give finer alignment positions, so the media valve sits where it should without forcing the flange into place.
    • 2
      Avoids over-tightening
Because orientation does not depend on torque, you keep the flange and pot coupling threads from being strained to get the valve square.
    • 3
      Matched reducing nipples and flanges
It is supplied with 13mm and 25mm flanges and 32mm reducing hex nipples in BSP and NPT/NPSM, so you can match the connection to your existing pot threads.
