The 8008 AZ 2-in-1 Combo Tachometer is a high efficiency non-contact tachometer that is extremely competitive at a lower cost than competitors. Effortlessly switch between contact modes, with the non-contact method using a red LED beam. The instrument is manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified environment and has been designed and tested to meet European EMC safety standards of CE EN 61326-1 & IEC 61000. The AZ 8008 2-in-1 Combo Tachometer measures the rotation speed in RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) of a rotating shaft in motors, trucks, industrial machines, engines, automobiles, and within the vehicle and manufacturing industries.
Most machinery is designed to function within a specific RPM range to prevent damage from friction or heat. Tachometers assist you in differentiating where the monitoring equipment rotation speed is safe or where adjustments need to be made. The 8008 AZ 2-in-1 Combo Tachometer is useful as it can measure the rotating object with direct contact via the Convex- and Concave contact tips.
AZ 8008 2-in-1 Combo Tachometer
The AZ 8008 measures rotation speed either without contact, using a red LED beam and reflective tape, or by direct contact with a convex or concave tip. Switching between the two modes takes three steps. In contact mode it reads rpm, m/min, ft/min and yd/min, with auto-range and a hold function.
- Two methods, one instrument Change from contact to non-contact settings in only 3 steps. The non-contact method uses a red LED beam with reflective tape attached to the rotating element.
- Contact tips supplied Convex or concave contact tips adapt to the rotation surface, so the meter can read directly off a shaft end or a rotating face.
- Four speed units In contact mode the reading switches between rpm, m/min, ft/min and yd/min, with an auto-range function across the measuring ranges.
- Hold and power saving A hold function freezes the reading, a no-sleep mode keeps it live, and the instrument switches off after 20 minutes of inactivity. A low battery indicator is fitted.
