The Elcometer RCV4000 Remote Control Valve 32mm (PED part number RCV4000-125B, ASME part number RCV4000-125N) is a pneumatic remote control valve used to safely pressurise and depressurise an abrasive blast machine at the blast nozzle using a deadman's handle. Controlling the air supply from the nozzle, rather than at the machine, is fundamental to safe abrasive blasting, allowing the operator to cut off the blast stream immediately.
The Elcometer RCV4000 Remote Control Valve 32mm quickly cuts off the flow of compressed air to the blast hose, and a built-in exhaust valve de-pressurises the machine quickly and safely. It has a universal fit to blast machines with remote control valve ports, so it is not limited to Elcometer machines. The whole RCV system can be removed by undoing just two union joints, making it fast to service in the field and minimising downtime. It is offered in 38mm, 32mm and 19mm versions, and the RCV4000+ variant adds an air manifold for ancillary equipment.
The valve is designed and built in Great Britain from high grade, non-corrosive aluminium. It is used in surface preparation, protective coatings and corrosion control work. Supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised Elcometer distributor.
