The Mixer T for Elcometer GV and AGV Abrasive Media Valves 38mm is a connection fitting supplied as part number MT28553 in the PED version or MT28553N in the ASME version. It connects to the base of the GV and AGV abrasive media valves, allowing abrasive media to mix with the air from the pusher line. This is a high-wear point on a blast machine because the abrasive cuts continuously against the fitting, so the design focuses on extending service life and limiting damage.
The Mixer T is machined from a solid piece of ultra-hard wearing steel so it lasts longer than softer fittings. An internal shoulder prevents grit from entering the thread, which minimises wear and maximises lifetime. When the bore does begin to wear, the fitting can simply be rotated by 180° to present a fresh surface and double its service life before replacement.
