The 8811 Thermometer is a single-input digital thermometer supplied with a K type temperature probe, used to measure temperatures from -200 to 1,300 degrees C. The wide span makes it suitable wherever a single instrument has to cover both deep cold and high heat, from laboratory and biochemistry work to HVAC and refrigeration, construction and general industry, where reliable spot temperature readings inform process control.
Measurement is made through a K type thermocouple sensor. The 8811 Thermometer is built to IP65, and a protective rubber cap over the sensor prevents water permeating into the body. Accuracy is plus or minus (0.3% of reading + 1 degree C) across -20 to 1000 degrees C, widening to plus or minus (0.5% of reading + 1 degree C) from 1000 to 1300 degrees C. Resolution is 0.1 degrees C up to 650 degrees C and 1 degree C in the higher range. The sampling rate is around two readings per second.
Functions include maximum and minimum capture, relative temperature, a hold function, a backlight and an auto power off at 20 minutes that can be disabled for sleep mode. The 8811 Thermometer measures 174 x 64 x 33 mm with a 46 x 26 mm LCD and operates from 0 to 50 degrees C. It is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor of precision measurement and inspection instruments.

When to use the 8811 Thermometer
Use this when you need a wide-range contact temperature reading and the meter itself may get wet or knocked. With a K type thermocouple it measures from -200 to 1,300 degrees C, and the IP65 body with a protective sensor rubber cap keeps water out. It suits temperature monitoring in labs, biochemistry, HVAC/R and construction.
- 1Very wide temperature spanCovering -200 to 1,300 degrees C, it handles both very cold and high-heat tasks that a narrow-range thermometer cannot reach.
- 2IP65 rated for wet workThe IP65 grade and protective sensor rubber cap stop water permeating the meter, so it keeps working on damp or dirty sites where readings are still needed.
- 3Hold and min/max for recordingTwo readings per second with hold and maximum/minimum functions let you capture changing temperatures and lock a value to write it down.
