The Elcometer Powder Coating Inspection Kit (part number YKITPOWDER-1M) is a packaged set of instruments for inspecting powder coatings across the stages of the powder coating process. Powder coating quality depends on getting several parameters right, and a fault in coating thickness or adhesion that goes unchecked can lead to rejected work and reapplication costs. The Elcometer Powder Coating Inspection Kit brings together the tools to assess powder coatings on a range of surfaces and to document the result.

Measurement parameters covered by the Elcometer Powder Coating Inspection Kit are surface inspection, coating thickness and adhesion. The digital Elcometer 415 measures coating thickness on smooth surfaces, and the Elcometer 1542 is included for testing the adhesion of the coating.

The Elcometer Powder Coating Inspection Kit can be used in accordance with AS 1580.408.4, AS/NZS 1580.108.1, ASTM B 499, ASTM D 7091, ASTM E 376, ISO 2360, ISO 2808-12, ISO 2808-7C, ISO 2808-7D and NF T30-124, which cover coating thickness measurement and related inspection methods so that results are referenced to recognised national and international test standards.
