The TIME TC400 Crack Width Gauge is a digital instrument for measuring and monitoring crack widths in concrete substrates. It supports both single readings and long-term, real-time tracking of how a crack develops over time, with images saved and stored automatically to the device during dynamic monitoring.
Cracks in concrete are not always static. Some widen as a structure settles or loads change, and knowing whether a crack is stable or growing informs decisions about repair and structural safety. The TIME TC400 Crack Width Gauge captures the width of one crack in around 150 milliseconds, so an inspector can survey many points quickly, then return later to see how the same cracks have moved.
The TIME TC400 Crack Width Gauge measures from 0 to 10mm with a measuring accuracy of 0.01mm and an estimable accuracy of 0.001mm, using a 60 times digital enlargement factor. An on-screen adjustable scale ruler lets the operator validate readings, and intelligent interpretation of diagonal cracks improves accuracy on awkward orientations. Data is entered through a touch screen or manual keys, viewed on the graphic display, and stored up to 100,000 crack measure points, with export of data and images via the supplied 2G U disk (expandable). The rechargeable lithium battery powers operation from minus 10 to 50 degrees Celsius, and the unit weighs 530g.
Used in concrete testing and structural inspection, the TIME TC400 Crack Width Gauge is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.
TIME TC400 Crack Width Gauge
The TIME TC400 Crack Width Gauge is used for crack width detection within concrete substrates. The unit allows for long-term and real-time monitoring of crack width value as the cracks occur. During the dynamic monitoring process, the resulting images can be saved and stored automatically to the device, saving time and manpower.
