The TIME Rebar Detector TC110 is a nondestructive concrete cover meter and rebar locator used to measure the thickness of the concrete covering layer and to estimate rebar diameter. It also detects magnetic and conductive objects buried in non-magnetic, non-conductive media, such as cables, water pipes and heating pipes inside a wall.

Insufficient or incorrect concrete cover leaves reinforcement exposed to moisture and chlorides, which accelerates corrosion and shortens the working life of a structure. Drilling into a slab without knowing where the bars sit risks cutting reinforcement. The TIME Rebar Detector TC110 lets inspectors confirm cover after formwork is removed, locate bars to avoid them when drilling, and gather the location, cover and diameter data needed for strength calculations of reinforced concrete.

The TIME Rebar Detector TC110 measures cover from 6mm to 90mm in Range 1 and 7mm to 200mm in Range 2, with tolerances tightening to within 1mm over the lower bands. Rebar diameter is read across the Ø6mm to Ø50mm span. A signal strength bar and audible alarm guide positioning, and three scan modes (grid pattern, profile scan and large area scan) produce direct grid and profile images of the bars on the backlit graphic display, with real time output to screen and printer. The TIME Rebar Detector TC110 runs from minus 10 to 40 degrees Celsius and weighs 880g.
