
The Gamry Interface 5000E is a potentiostat, galvanostat and zero resistance ammeter (ZRA) for high current testing of single cell energy devices.
Maximum current is ±5 A across 6 current ranges (50 µA to 5 A, or 8 ranges with internal gain applied), with a minimum current resolution of 15 pA. Maximum applied potential is ±6 V and the control amplifier delivers >±5 A at ±6.5 V compliance, across five speed settings.
EIS runs from 10 µHz to 1 MHz. That upper limit is what separates it from the Interface 5000P, which shares the same current and potential envelope but stops at 20 kHz. The 5000E is therefore the variant to specify when the impedance work goes above audio frequencies.
The electrometer has an input impedance of >10^12 Ω in parallel with under 2 pF, an input current below 25 pA, bandwidth above 12 MHz at -3 dB, and CMRR above 98 dB at 10 kHz. It takes 2, 3, 4 or 5 cell connections.
