It shares the current and potential envelope of the Interface 5000E. Maximum current is ±5 A across 6 current ranges (50 µA to 5 A, or 8 ranges with internal gain applied), minimum current resolution is 15 pA, and maximum applied potential is ±6 V. The control amplifier delivers >±5 A at ±6.5 V compliance, across five speed settings.
The separation is impedance reach. EIS runs from 10 µHz to 20 kHz, against 1 MHz on the Interface 5000E, so this is the variant to specify when the impedance measurements stay below 20 kHz. Maximum current AC amplitude is 5 A.
The electrometer has an input impedance of >10^12 Ω in parallel with under 2 pF, an input current below 25 pA, bandwidth above 12 MHz at -3 dB, and CMRR above 98 dB at 10 kHz. It takes 2, 3, 4 or 5 cell connections.
