The Leica DISTO X1 is a laser distance meter built for tough interior construction sites. Indoor site work is hard on instruments, with drops, dust and water all common, so a meter that keeps measuring accurately under those conditions saves the rework and downtime that follow a damaged or unreliable tool.
The Leica DISTO X1 measures distance with a typical accuracy of plus or minus 1.5 mm to ISO 16331-1, the standard that defines how laser distance meter accuracy and range are determined, over a range of 0.05 up to 100 m. Measuring units are m, ft and in, and X-Range Power Technology supports performance over the full range of the Leica DISTO X1, with reference distances at 10, 50 and 100 m and a laser dot of 6, 30 and 60 mm at those distances. The display is illuminated for readability in poor light.
Connectivity is by Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC, the latter giving a simplified tap-to-connect link to the Leica DISTO Plan app for quick data transfer, visualisation and documentation; free Windows software and an iOS and Android app are also available. The housing of the Leica DISTO X1 is rated IP65 and is drop tested from 2 m. The Leica DISTO X1 runs up to 7,000 measurements or up to 14 hours on 2 x AAA 1.5 V batteries, weighs 129 g with batteries and measures 125 x 53.5 x 25.5 mm.
