The Elcometer 8720 Compact Balance (part numbers K0008720M001 and certified K0008720M001C) is an easy-to-use precision balance offering a range of weighing functions selectable by the user. Accurate weighing underpins many coatings and physical tests, from determining permeability by mass change to weighing samples and additives, so a balance with fine reproducibility is needed wherever small differences in mass carry the result. Please note that this model has been discontinued.

The balance weighs from 0 to 1,210 g with a reproducibility of 0.01 g and linearity of plus or minus 0.03 g, fine enough to register the small mass changes measured in tests such as water vapour transmission. It has a backlit LCD display for clear reading and a 130 x 130 mm stainless steel weighing plate that is easy to clean. The unit measures 167 x 250 x 85 mm and weighs 2 kg. A certificate is supplied as standard with the certified version.
