The Elcometer 6910/1 Setaflash 'Series 3' Closed Cup Tester (part number K6910M010) is a portable flash point instrument that completes a flash/no flash test in less than two minutes or determines the flash point of a sample across a temperature range of ambient to 300 degrees C. Flash point is the lowest temperature at which a liquid gives off enough vapour to ignite, and knowing it correctly governs how a product is classified, transported and stored, so a fast, repeatable result reduces both safety risk and laboratory time.

Test parameters, instrument status and results are accessed through a colour touch screen and a push button that guide the operator through each step, with an audible prompt when a flash is achieved. Automatic flash detection reduces the chance of an operator misreading the result and improves repeatability, while automatic barometric correction adjusts for ambient pressure. Sample size is just 2ml or 4ml, the cup is aluminium and gas for the test jet is supplied from an integrated, removable tank filled with a standard butane refill cartridge.

The Elcometer 6910/1 Setaflash 'Series 3' Closed Cup Tester has 1GB internal memory and an integrated USB port for storing and transferring test results, measures 195 x 295 x 140mm and weighs 3kg. It can be used in accordance with ASTM D1655, ASTM D3278, ASTM D3828, ASTM E502, BS 2000-523, CLP Regulations EC No 1272/2008, DEF STAN 91-91, EPA 1020 A and B, ISO 3679, ISO 3680 and UN Class 3 Non-viscous Flammable Liquids.
