The ZX5-DL and ZX6-DL models include data-logging functionality. Choose the ZX5-DL for standard PE-range logging, or the ZX6-DL if you also need Echo Echo measurement for coated surfaces.
What is the difference between PE and EE measurement ranges?
The PE range (0.63 to 914.4mm) covers standard thickness measurement. The EE (Echo Echo) range (2.54 to 152.4mm) is designed for coated surfaces. Only the ZX6 and ZX6-DL models offer both measurement capabilities.
Do all Dakota ZX models provide the same measurement resolution?
Yes. All models from the ZX1 through ZX6-DL deliver 0.01mm resolution, providing consistent precision across the entire product range.
Can I measure coated surfaces with the ZX1 or ZX5?
No. The ZX1 and ZX5 measure only in the PE range and lack Echo Echo capability. For coated surface measurement, you need a ZX6 or ZX6-DL.
