The Protection Skid (part numbers MT30143-2, MT30143-3 and MT30143-4) is a user fitted accessory that shields the valves and pipework of Elcometer abrasive blast machines. On a blast machine the valves and pipework sit exposed at the base of the unit, and that is exactly where knocks happen during loading, unloading and movement around site. A damaged valve or fractured pipe takes the machine out of service, so the Protection Skid exists to keep those components protected.
Fitted by the user, the Protection Skid provides complete protection for the valves and pipework, and is particularly useful when loading and unloading the machine, the points at which the assembly is most likely to take an impact.
The Protection Skid is matched to the machine by part number: MT30143-2 suits the Elcometer 1440, MT30143-3 suits the Elcometer 1460, and MT30143-4 suits the Elcometer 20100 abrasive blast machine.
