The Sagola 4220 Plus Air Purifying Filter - 2 Stage is a two-stage compressed air filtration unit for professional paint booths, combining mechanical and coalescent filtration with a pressure regulator and line pressure gauge. Compressed air arriving from the compressor carries water, oil and fine particulate that ruins a coating finish, and the two stages here drive contamination down far enough to protect demanding waterborne and high solids (HS) coatings.

Stage one uses centrifugal force to drop out large particulates, water and oil: the friction of compressed air against the walls of the vessel makes solid and liquid particles fall to the bottom, and the air is then forced through a porous brass filter that decants further condensed liquid. Stage two adds coalescent filtration that removes air, oil and particles down to 0.01 micron. Condensed liquids clear through automatic and semi-automatic drains, and a high quality analogue pressure gauge shows the regulated line pressure.

The Sagola 4220 Plus Air Purifying Filter is machined from a solid aluminium block for tough, long-service construction. Air flow at 7 bar is 2415 LPM (85 CFM), with a 12.7 mm BSP air inlet and 6.35 mm BSP air outlet, a maximum working pressure of 12 bar and a maximum operating temperature of 90 degrees C. It measures 178 x 117 x 279 mm without coupling and weighs 2 kg. The kit includes a 24 micron brass filter and 0.01 micron coalescent filter, a male BSPT 6.35 mm coupling, analogue pressure gauge and support bracket, and it is available with Euro-Profile, US-MIL or NITTO couplings.
