The Sagola 4240 Breathing Equipment Kit is a complete supplied-air respiratory protection kit for spray painting activities. Spray painting exposes the operator to atomised paint, solvent vapour and odour, so a clean, regulated air supply delivered to a mask protects the painter where filtering ambient air alone is not enough.
The kit supplies air to the mask through a preset regulator that incorporates a flow warning gauge and an integrated high efficiency coalescent filter, removing low levels of moisture and oil, with a carbon filter to absorb vapour and odour. It includes a belt, a pocket regulator and coalescent filter, 10 metres of hose with safety plugs and a 1.5 metre hose to the spray gun outlet. Solid particle filtration reaches 0.01 micron, and the nominal filter life is 400 operating hours.
The Sagola 4240 Breathing Equipment Kit runs on an air supply pressure of 4 to 10 bar, delivering a mask air supply rate of 160 to 232 LPM, with a maximum mask hose length of 15 m from supply to regulator and an environmental working temperature range of 1.5 to 50 degrees C. It conforms to BS EN 1835 (protection factor of 40), EC 58459 and BSi Product Certification 89/686/CEE, the standards governing supplied-air breathing apparatus and personal protective equipment. Complete and basic versions are available with US-Mil or Nitto connections. Supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised Sagola distributor.
