The Elcometer Screen Sieve and Blast Machine Cover Lid (part numbers SLKIT-10, SLKIT-14, SLKIT-20 and SLKIT-24) is a combined sieve and lid kit for abrasive blast machines. The Elcometer Screen Sieve screens recovered blast media as it is loaded and covers the machine when it is not in use. Oversized debris in the abrasive disrupts blasting and clogs the system, while rain entering an open machine spoils the dry media. Both the sieve and the lid of the Elcometer Screen Sieve sit outside the rim of the blast machine to keep water out.
The hardwearing screen of the Elcometer Screen Sieve has a mesh size of 5 mm square hole at 8 mm pitch, which lets clean abrasive pass while holding back oversized material. The solid lid handle uses sealed screws to prevent water ingress. The Elcometer Screen Sieve is manufactured from durable 6 mm high quality steel for years of service. Four sizes of the Elcometer Screen Sieve match the standard Elcometer blast machine diameters: 254 mm (SLKIT-10), 356 mm (SLKIT-14), 508 mm (SLKIT-20) and 610 mm (SLKIT-24). Each can be purchased individually, as a set or as part of the Elcometer blast kits.
The Elcometer Screen Sieve is used in abrasive blasting and surface preparation across corrosion protection, marine and industrial coatings. It is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised Elcometer distributor.
