The Telaire T3030 Series is a range of carbon dioxide (CO2) sensors built for measuring CO2 in harsh or difficult environments, supplied under part numbers including T3031-2-2K-24-P, T3031-2-5K-25-P, T3031-2-10K-24-P, T3032-2-5K-24-P, T3032-2-10K-24-P and T3032-2-20K-24-P. Reliable CO2 measurement in demanding settings supports HVAC control and ventilation decisions where standard sensors would be damaged or drift out of tolerance, protecting both air quality and energy use.
Measurement uses Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) technology in single or dual wavelength form. Single-wavelength accuracy is plus or minus 30 ppm or 3% of reading between 400 and 1250 ppm, and plus or minus 5% of reading plus 30 ppm between 1250 and 2000 ppm. Dual-wavelength builds cover up to 20% CO2 concentration, with accuracy of plus or minus 5% of reading or plus or minus 0.3 vol% CO2 from 0 to 25 degrees C. Resolution is a minimum of 10-bit or analog equivalent. Sensors are shipped factory calibrated and rated for accuracy across a 10-year life.
The modular casing combines range, supply voltage and output type to suit each application, mounts with two external tabs, can be rated up to IP67 depending on build and is available with potting. Analog outputs of 0 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V and 4 to 20 mA are offered alongside digital options. Typical uses include incubators, buses, refrigerators, subway stations, railway carriages and agricultural buildings such as glasshouses and livestock sheds. Supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.

Frequently asked questions
What analogue output options does the T8041/T8042 support for tying into our control system?
The T8041/T8042 provides analogue output configurations of 0 to 5V, 0 to 10V, or 4 to 20mA, so it can be wired into most building management or process control systems. Digital to analogue conversion accuracy is within plus or minus 1%.
How accurate is the T8041/T8042 at typical indoor CO2 levels?
At 400 to 1250 ppm, the range covering normal room air, the T8041/T8042 reads to within plus or minus 30 ppm or 3% of reading, whichever is greater.
What's the difference between the T8041/T8042's working, operating, and storage temperature ranges?
Readings stay within specified accuracy across 0C to plus 50C, the working range. The unit stays powered and functional down to minus 30C, the operating range, though accuracy outside the working range isn't guaranteed. It can be stored, unpowered, between minus 40C and plus 70C.
What sensing technology does the T8041/T8042 use?
It uses non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensing, available in single or dual wavelength configurations, the standard approach for reliable CO2 measurement in demanding environments.
What power supply does the T8041/T8042 need?
Supply options include 15Vdc (plus or minus 10%) or, on the 24V variant, 18 to 30VAC RMS at 50/60Hz or 18 to 42VDC with polarity protection. Typical power consumption is 0.7W at the nominal 24VAC supply.
