
The Time TCS100 ColourMeter Pro (model TCS-100) is a compact colour measuring instrument that reads colour value, colour difference value and finds the closest match from colour card databases. It connects over Bluetooth to Android and iOS devices and is used across the printing, paint and textile industries.
Matching and verifying colour by eye is unreliable, especially when a sample has to be checked against a card or an existing reference shade. The ColourMeter Pro returns objective numerical colour data and a clear pass or fail judgment, visible on both the instrument and the app, so colour decisions can be made consistently in production and on site.
The Time TCS100 ColourMeter Pro uses D/8 geometry in SCI mode with a full wavelength balanced LED source over a 400 to 700nm range at 10nm intervals, read through an 8mm aperture. It reports a wide set of colour spaces and indices, including CIE-Lab, CIE-LCh, HunterLab, XYZ, Yxy and RGB, colour difference formulae (ΔE*ab, ΔE*cmc, ΔE*94, ΔE*00), and whiteness and yellowness indices, across 26 illuminants and 2 degree and 10 degree observers. A reading takes 1 second with repeatability of ΔE 0.1 or better. Automatic black and white calibration, a 1.14 inch IPS colour screen, USB and Bluetooth interfaces and a cloud colour card database support both individual and enterprise users. The rechargeable battery gives 10,000 continuous tests and the unit weighs about 90g.
