
The Elcometer Twinline Pneumatic Remote Control Hose (TWINLINE-5B / TWINLINE-5N) is a 5 metre, 6mm internal diameter twin control hose used to carry the air control signal between a deadman's handle and the remote control valve on an abrasive blasting set-up. Running the two control lines together in a single bonded hose prevents the tangles and trip hazards that occur when separate lines are run alongside the blast hose, which is a common cause of dropped handles and lost operator control on site.
Construction of the Elcometer Twinline Pneumatic Remote Control Hose is a lining-back NR, SBTR and EPDM rubber bore reinforced with spiral polyester yarn, giving a lightweight, durable hose with a 13mm outside diameter. The Twinline Pneumatic Remote Control Hose carries a working pressure of 20 bar and a burst pressure of 60 bar, and operates across a temperature range of -35C to +80C. The 6mm female swivel couplings connect directly to the deadman's handle and remote control valve outlet without additional adaptors.
Two thread variants are offered: TWINLINE-5B with BSP threads for PED markets, and TWINLINE-5N with NPT / NPSM threads for ASME markets. Both share identical dimensions and pressure ratings. The Elcometer Twinline Pneumatic Remote Control Hose is used by blasting and surface preparation operators in shipyards, refineries and fabrication shops where remote control of the blast pot is a safety requirement.
