The Elcometer MFV Mini Flat Valve (part numbers MFV-B for the PED version and MFV-N for the ASME version) is a compact abrasive metering valve designed for use with mineral abrasives and suited to the Elcometer 1020 abrasive blast machine. The Elcometer MFV Mini Flat Valve provides precise metering of abrasive from the blast pot to the hose, which keeps wastage down. Poor metering wastes media and gives an inconsistent blast, so controlled, repeatable feed of abrasive is important to both running costs and surface quality.
The Elcometer MFV Mini Flat Valve uses a 45 degree inclined design to give a uniform mixture of air and abrasive, with durable steel control discs that provide precise metering of the abrasive quantity, all manufactured from high grade, non-corrosive aluminium. Abrasive flow is set and held using the lever handle, and an easy access service port allows the Elcometer MFV Mini Flat Valve to be cleared when it clogs.
Maintenance of the Elcometer MFV Mini Flat Valve is simple: the steel control discs can be replaced in minutes in the field using standard tools, and service kits are available for routine upkeep of the Elcometer MFV Mini Flat Valve. Used in surface preparation and abrasive blasting with the Elcometer 1020 machine, and supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised Elcometer distributor.
