The Elcometer 103 Blast Nozzle Gauge (E103-A) measures the orifice size of an abrasive blasting nozzle, allowing operators to track how far the bore has worn during use. As a blast nozzle is used, its venturi orifice gradually enlarges. That wear lowers nozzle pressure and reduces blasting efficiency, which in turn cuts productivity and increases the amount of abrasive media consumed for the same work.

The Elcometer 103 Blast Nozzle Gauge is inserted into the nozzle bore to read the current orifice size, so the operator can compare it against the original size and decide when a replacement is due. As a general rule for continuous high production, the nozzle should be replaced once the orifice has worn by one nozzle size. The Elcometer 103 Blast Nozzle Gauge reads across a measuring range of 6.4 to 16mm, equivalent to 81 to 548 CFM, measures 200 x 19mm and weighs 150g, making it a simple shop and on-site check.
