About this product

The HT225D Digital Concrete Test Hammer is an integrated rebound hammer that combines a data processor and a test hammer in a single unit for the non-destructive testing of concrete and building materials, whether in a finished structure or in prefabricated blocks. The HT225D Digital Concrete Test Hammer gives engineers and quality-control teams a fast estimate of concrete quality without coring or otherwise damaging the element under test.

The HT225D Digital Concrete Test Hammer strikes the surface and measures the rebound; from the rebound value it calculates the compressive strength of the concrete automatically and corrects for the direction of impact. Results appear on a high-contrast OLED display, which shows both an analogue ruler and the digital value. The measuring range of the HT225D Digital Concrete Test Hammer is 10 to 70 N/mm2 with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.1R, and impact energy is 0.225 kgm (2.207 Nm), suited to testing ordinary building and bridge construction. All setups can be made on site.

Up to 4,000 readings can be stored, organised as 1000 parts with 256 data points each, and transferred to a PC over USB 2.0 or, optionally, via Bluetooth. The HT225D Digital Concrete Test Hammer runs from a 3.7 V Li-ion rechargeable battery charged through the USB port, weighs 1.1 kg and operates from -40 to 60 degrees C.

The HT225D Digital Concrete Test Hammer can be used in accordance with ISO 8045, BS 1881 part 202, ASTM C805, DIN 1048, EN 12504-2, NF P18-417, UNE 83307 and UN9189. It is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.

When to use the HT225D Digital Concrete Test Hammer

The HT225D combines a rebound test hammer with an on-board data processor that calculates compressive strength automatically. Reach for it on non-destructive concrete testing where you need stored, transferable results rather than manual rebound readings.

  • 1
    Automatic strength calculation
It calculates compressive strength automatically and corrects for impact direction, removing the manual table lookups a mechanical hammer requires.
  • 2
    Stores and transfers data
It holds up to 4,000 readings and transfers them to a PC by USB or optional Bluetooth, which suits jobs where records must be reported, not just read.
  • 3
    Set up entirely on site
All setups can be made on site with a high-contrast OLED display, so you configure tests in the field without returning to base.
  • 4
    Meets recognised standards
It conforms to BS1881 part 202, ASTM C805, EN 12504-2 and others, keeping results aligned with the standard your contract names.
