The Elcometer 4695 Spray Monitors are self-adhesive, pressure-sensitive Leneta labels carrying a hiding power test pattern and a sealed, solvent-resistant surface, used to monitor and control paint film thickness during spray application. On metal panels the bare surface gives no visual clue as to how much paint has been applied, so a sprayer cannot easily judge whether coverage is adequate. Applying a Spray Monitor places a contrasting test pattern on the panel, letting the operator see how well the coating hides the surface and adjust film thickness accordingly.
Each monitor adheres firmly to the panel whether the coating is air-dried or baked, leaving a permanent visual record of film opacity that can be filed or referenced later. The range covers three formats: the Leneta Spray Monitor M33 at 51 x 51 mm, supplied 500 per box (part numbers K0004695M059 box and K0004695M259 case); the M12 at 25 x 25 mm, supplied 2000 per box (K0004695M056 and K0004695M256); and the M72 at 51 x 279 mm, supplied 500 per box (K0004695M063 and K0004695M263). All are available in boxes and cases.
The Elcometer 4695 Leneta charts can be used in accordance with AS/NZS 1580.213.1, ASTM D 344, ASTM D2805, ASTM D 2486, ASTM D 5150, ASTM D 6441, BS 3900-D4, DIN 53162-2, FTMS 141 4121 and ISO 2814. They suit coatings inspectors and paint laboratories controlling spray-applied film thickness, and are supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.
