About this product

The Tungsten Carbide Double Venturi Blast Nozzle with Aluminium Jacket is an abrasive blast nozzle supplied across part numbers MT28346-4C through MT28346-8N, built to throw a 35% larger blast pattern than a standard Venturi nozzle with only a small loss in abrasive velocity. The wider pattern of the Tungsten Carbide Double Venturi Blast Nozzle matters on large or flat surfaces where an even spread of abrasive cleans faster and more uniformly than a tight, concentrated stream, reducing patchy coverage and the time spent reworking missed areas.

The double Venturi bore of the Tungsten Carbide Double Venturi Blast Nozzle is lined with tungsten carbide to resist the erosion of high-velocity abrasive, and the aluminium jacket adds strength and endurance. The Tungsten Carbide Double Venturi Blast Nozzle is supplied with a rubber gasket and is suited to plastic and cereal type abrasive media, which are gentler grit choices used where the surface must not be aggressively cut. Five sizes are offered for the Tungsten Carbide Double Venturi Blast Nozzle, from No.4 to No.8, with orifice diameters of 6.35mm, 8mm, 9.5mm, 11mm and 12.5mm and corresponding lengths of 149mm, 162mm, 176mm, 216mm and 235mm, all with a 25mm entry diameter. Each size comes in two thread types to match the blast hose: 51mm Contractor thread (the "C" suffix) and 32mm NPSM thread (the "N" suffix).

Used in blast cleaning and surface preparation across structural steel, marine and refinery maintenance, the Tungsten Carbide Double Venturi Blast Nozzle is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.

Frequently asked questions

How does this double venturi nozzle differ from a standard Venturi nozzle?

The double venturi design produces a 35% larger blast pattern with only a small loss in abrasive velocity. This makes it suited for jobs where even dispersion of abrasive across a wider area is required.

What thread types are these nozzles available in?

The MT28346 range comes in both 51mm Contractor Thread and NPSM thread configurations. Both have identical orifice diameters, lengths, and entry diameters; the choice depends on your equipment connection type.

What abrasive media types are suited for this nozzle?

The nozzle is ideally suited for plastic and cereal type abrasive media. The tungsten carbide construction and supplied rubber gasket support these media types.

What role does the rubber gasket play?

The nozzle is supplied with a rubber gasket to ensure a proper seal at your equipment connection, maintaining consistent pressure and spray pattern during blasting operations.

What orifice sizes are available?

The MT28346 range offers five orifice sizes from #4 (6.35mm) through #8 (12.5mm), with corresponding nozzle lengths ranging from 149mm to 235mm. Entry diameter is 25mm across all sizes.
