The Tungsten Carbide Venturi Blast Nozzle with Aluminium Jacket (part numbers MT28318-3C to MT28318-12N) is a general purpose abrasive blast nozzle for blasting large surfaces. The venturi bore creates a wide blast pattern and greatly increases the velocity of the abrasive, which means more surface is cleaned per pass and surface preparation work is completed faster than a straight bore would allow.
The Tungsten Carbide Venturi Blast Nozzle with Aluminium Jacket features a tungsten carbide insert protected by an aluminium jacket. Tungsten carbide withstands the wear of abrasive passing through the bore, while the aluminium jacket adds durability and toughness so the nozzle holds up to handling on site. Each nozzle is supplied with a rubber gasket.
Eight orifice sizes are offered, from the #3 at 4.8mm up to the #12 at 19mm, all with a 32mm entry diameter. Larger orifices pass more abrasive for clearing wide areas. Each size comes in two thread variants: the C versions carry a 51mm contractor thread, and the N versions a 32mm NPSM thread, with lengths varying by both size and thread (for example the #8 contractor MT28318-8C is 235mm). Choose the variant to match your blast machine fitting.
Used in surface preparation, coatings and corrosion work, these nozzles are supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.

Frequently asked questions
When should I use a Venturi nozzle design?
The Venturi design creates a wide blast pattern and greatly increases velocity, making it ideal for blasting large surfaces. Use this nozzle when you need efficient coverage and higher productivity across extended work areas.
Which thread type do I need, Contractor or NPSM?
Contractor Thread (C suffix variants) and NPSM Thread (N suffix variants) are available. Check your existing blast equipment's connection type to select the correct variant for your system.
Why is tungsten carbide combined with an aluminium jacket?
The tungsten carbide insert resists wear from repeated abrasive impact, whilst the aluminium jacket provides durability and toughness to the structure. This material combination delivers both hardness and strength for demanding blasting applications.
What orifice sizes are available?
Eight sizes are offered with orifice diameters ranging from 4.8mm to 19mm. Both Contractor Thread and NPSM Thread versions are available in each size, with varying lengths to suit different equipment configurations.
What comes with the nozzle for installation?
The nozzle is supplied with a rubber gasket for sealing at the connection point.
