About this product

The Tungsten Carbide Venturi Liner with Aluminium Jacket and Water Jet System (part numbers MT28326-3C to MT28326-8N) is an abrasive blast nozzle for situations where dust control is needed. The Tungsten Carbide Venturi Liner mixes water with the abrasive at the nozzle, which reduces the amount of dust displaced into the atmosphere. That matters where airborne dust is a health, visibility or environmental concern, such as enclosed sites and populated areas.

The Tungsten Carbide Venturi Liner is made from tungsten carbide, which resists the wear of abrasive passing through the bore, and is encased in an aluminium jacket that provides strength and endurance. Because of this construction the nozzle is recommended for use with harder abrasives. Each Tungsten Carbide Venturi Liner is supplied with a rubber gasket.

Six orifice sizes are available for the Tungsten Carbide Venturi Liner, from the #3 at 4.8mm up to the #8 at 12.5mm, all with a 25mm entry diameter and lengths from 120mm to 230mm. Each size comes in two thread variants: the C versions carry a 51mm contractor thread and the N versions a 32mm NPSM thread, so the nozzle can be matched to your blast machine fitting.

The Tungsten Carbide Venturi Liner conforms to the European Union PED and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME, the standards that govern pressure equipment in their respective markets. Used in surface preparation, coatings and corrosion work, the Tungsten Carbide Venturi Liner is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the MT28326 mix water with the abrasive?

Water injection reduces the amount of dust displaced into the atmosphere, improving dust control on the job site. This is essential in applications where airborne dust must be minimised.

What thread types are available for the MT28326?

Two options are offered. The C variant features a 51mm Contractor Thread, whilst the N variant has an NPSM thread. Choose based on your equipment's connection type.

Is the MT28326 suitable for harder abrasives?

Yes. The tungsten carbide venturi liner combined with the aluminium jacket is specifically recommended for use with harder abrasives, providing the strength and endurance required for demanding applications.

What orifice sizes does the MT28326 range cover?

Six nozzle sizes are available, from nozzle #3 (4.8mm orifice) to nozzle #8 (12.5mm orifice). Larger orifice sizes accommodate higher flow rates for broader coverage areas.

How do I identify the correct part number for my equipment?

Determine your thread type (51mm Contractor Thread = C, NPSM = N) and select a nozzle size #3 through #8. The part number combines these, for example MT28326-5C for nozzle #5 with Contractor thread.
