About this product

The Elcometer GV General Valve (part numbers GV-B for the PED version and GV-N for the ASME version) is an abrasive metering valve for blast machines that gives precise control of media for an even, regulated flow. A long life rubber liner makes the Elcometer GV General Valve durable and fast to service, which reduces downtime. Accurate metering matters because over-feeding wastes abrasive and uneven feeding spoils the blast, so a valve that can be adjusted in use and shut off completely keeps consumption and surface quality in check.

The Elcometer GV General Valve carries a built-in media flow indicator and a rubber liner wear indicator, and is tested to a maximum working pressure of 15 bar. The operator can safely adjust media flow while blasting and achieve 100 percent abrasive shut off to cut wastage. The design keeps the valve body out of the abrasive stream so that only the elcoTOUGH rubber liner contacts the media; that liner can be replaced with just two bolts without disconnecting the Elcometer GV General Valve. The Elcometer GV General Valve can also be upgraded to an Elcometer AGV using an upgrade kit.

Suitable for all media types, the Elcometer GV General Valve is well suited to metering heavy or aggressive abrasives such as steel shot, grit or aluminium oxide. It is available in two versions for the Elcometer GV General Valve, the Elcometer Mini General Valve for the Elcometer 1020 blast machine and the larger 25 mm Elcometer General Valves that fit most abrasive blast machines on the market. Used in surface preparation and abrasive blasting, and supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised Elcometer distributor.
