The Elcometer Basic Digital Inspection Kit (part number YKIT-DIGITAL-B) is a portable set of entry level digital gauges that covers the three principal inspection requirements in the protective and industrial coatings industry: climate, surface profile and dry film thickness. Coating failures are frequently traced to work carried out in the wrong climatic conditions, over an inadequate blast profile, or at the wrong film thickness, so the Elcometer Basic Digital Inspection Kit gives the less advanced user a single case of equipment to check all three before and during application.

The Elcometer Basic Digital Inspection Kit contains an Elcometer 224 Model B integral digital surface profile gauge with a 0 to 500 micron scale range, taking 60 or more readings per minute, an Elcometer 319 standard dewpoint meter, and an Elcometer 456 Model B ferrous separate coating thickness gauge with a 0 to 1500 micron scale range, taking 70 or more readings per minute. The 319 displays relative humidity, surface temperature, ambient air temperature, dewpoint temperature, delta T, dry bulb and wet bulb temperatures, with a 10 reading rolling memory.

Both the 224 and 456 are impact, water and dust resistant equivalent to IP64, with an automatic rotating display at 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees, on-screen statistics, and user definable audible and visual pass or fail warnings. The gauges of the Elcometer Basic Digital Inspection Kit are stored in one hard plastic carrying case, supplied with calibration test foils, a glass zero tile, AA batteries, probe tip caps, wrist straps, test certificates and full operating instructions.
