The Elcometer Top Digital Inspection Kit (part numbers YKIT-DIGITAL-T and YKIT-DIGITALFNF-T) is a portable set of digital inspection instruments for the Protective and Industrial Coatings Industry, covering the three principal inspection requirements of climate, surface profile and dry film thickness in one hard plastic protective carrying case. It is built around entry level digital gauges for the less advanced user, so a single case carries everything needed for the most common daily inspection tasks on site.

The kit contains the Elcometer 224 Model T Integral Digital Surface Profile Gauge (0 to 500 micrometres), the Elcometer 319 Top Dewpoint Meter and the Elcometer 456 Model T Ferrous Separate Coating Thickness Gauge (0 to 1500 micrometres). Between them they confirm the climatic conditions are correct before painting, measure the blast profile of the prepared surface, and verify dry film thickness of the applied coating, the checks that determine whether a coating will perform or fail prematurely. The 319 can display up to five climatic parameters at once, including relative humidity, surface temperature, dewpoint and delta T.

All gauges are impact, water and dust resistant equivalent to IP64, with an automatic rotating display and reading rates of 60 or more readings per minute on the 224 and 70 or more on the 456. The Top version stores up to 150,000 readings, transfers data by USB and Bluetooth, and includes ElcoMaster Data Management Software for professional reports, with Android support for analysis on site without a computer.
