The Protimeter Mini 2000 Moisture Meter, part number BLD2000, is a compact pin-type moisture meter used by building professionals and trades to check the moisture level of wood and masonry products. It is used for quality control and dampness diagnosis, helping to confirm whether a material is dry enough to build on, coat or finish, and to locate damp before it causes problems. The Mini series is among the most widely used moisture meters in the world.

In use, the two measuring pins are pressed against the material and the meter reads the electrical resistance between them, which varies with moisture content. Colour changing LEDs indicate the condition on a simple scale of dry, borderline or damp, so a reading can be classified at a glance without interpreting figures. The pins are small and sharp, so measurements can be taken at the surface with virtually no mark left behind, and the Mini 2000 Moisture Meter is suitable for rapid assessment across wood, masonry, drywall, plaster and concrete.

Single one-button operation keeps the instrument simple, and the durable, rugged design suits regular site use. The measuring range is 6 to 90 on the moisture level scale, with a resolution of 1 percent over 6 to 25 percent and 10 percent up to 100 percent WME.
