The Protimeter BLD9800 Moisture Measurement System MMS3 is a 4-in-1 moisture measurement system with wireless capability, used for full building diagnostics both on and below the surface, from new construction through to refurbishment of existing buildings. Undetected moisture in walls, floors and slabs leads to flooring and coating failure, mould growth and structural problems, so a single instrument that diagnoses, searches, measures humidity and checks surface temperature speeds up the survey and reduces the risk of missing a problem.
The Protimeter BLD9800 Moisture Measurement System MMS3 combines pin moisture measurement with a built-in calibration check, improved non-invasive (RF) measurement with a sensitivity mode and simple field calibration, hygrometry, and non-contact surface temperature measurement using an infrared laser pointer. Pin readings of the Protimeter BLD9800 Moisture Measurement System MMS3 cover 6% to 100% WME (readings over 30% are relative). Non-invasive readings run 60 to 999 relative, up to 19 mm deep in standard mode and up to 12 cm deep in sensitivity mode, varying with material. The IR probe has a 12:1 (D:S) ratio and a range of -20 to 80 degrees C, and Hygrostick and Quickstick probes provide relative humidity measurement, including equilibrium RH in concrete floors.
Manual and automatic data logging stores up to 10,000 timestamped records, with live data streamed over Bluetooth into a file or embedded in an image in the Protimeter app, plus cloud storage and a web interface. Reporting also runs through Protimeter PC software. The Protimeter BLD9800 Moisture Measurement System MMS3 weighs 309 g with batteries, has a 2.4 inch colour TFT LCD and conforms to CE, RoHS, ETL and UKCA. The MMS3 is a 4-in-1 instrument. It measures pin (6-100% WME), non-invasive RF (60-999 relative, up to 19mm in standard mode and up to 12cm in sensitivity mode), plug-in temperature probe (0-70 degrees C) and IR temperature (-20 to 80 degrees C).
What kits are available for the MMS3?
Five configurations are available: Basic (BLD9800), Basic Survey (BLD9800-S), Standard Kit (BLD9800-C), Survey Kit (BLD9800-C-S) and Restoration Kit (BLD9800-C-R). They vary in included probes, carry case and accessories such as wall probes and hammer electrodes.
Does the MMS3 support wireless data transfer?
Yes. The MMS3 has wireless capability. Results can be stored in the cloud from live data using the Protimeter app, accessed via phone, tablet or web interface. The instrument itself stores up to 10,000 results with date and timestamp.
What humidity measurement accuracy does the MMS3 provide?
Using the Hygrostick, accuracy is plus or minus 3% RH from 30-40% RH and plus or minus 2% from 41-98% RH at 20 degrees C, with a temperature accuracy of plus or minus 0.3 degrees C over 0-50 degrees C.

What is the warranty on the MMS3?
