The Protimeter BLD5765 Aquant Moisture Meter (part number BLD5770) is a non-invasive moisture meter used to locate moisture quickly across a wide range of building materials. It is the sister product to the Surveymaster and is suited to surveying, cleaning or restoring a property after water damage, where finding where moisture sits, and how deep, decides whether a structure is safe to recover or to dry out further.
The Aquant works by radio frequency (RF) measurement, a system unique to Protimeter, detecting moisture directly in materials and below wall and floor coverings such as tile, wood and vinyl. Its pinless measurement reaches up to 3/4 in (19 mm) deep on a relative scale of 60 to 1000, so it leaves no pin marks and is not adversely affected by surface moisture such as condensation. A dual LCD and LED display makes readings easy to take, with colour-changing LEDs showing the moisture condition at a glance: green for dry, yellow for at risk and red for wet.
Bluetooth lets readings save to the Protimeter Connect App for recording and reporting. The Protimeter BLD5765 Aquant Moisture Meter weighs 195 g with its 9 V battery, measures 190 x 70 x 49 mm and carries a 24-month warranty on mechanical or manufacturing defects. The Protimeter Aquant can be used to detect the presence of moisture behind floor and wall coverings such as ceramic tile and vinyl floor coverings.
It can also be used for surveying GRP boat hulls for the early detection of damp spots that could lead to blistering caused by osmosis. Search Mode (non-invasive) The digital display is synchronized with a color-coded LED scale.
The display shows the relative moisture level of the material under investigation on a scale of 0-999 and the colour coded LED scale indicates the material's moisture condition at a glance - dry, borderline and damp.
Simple Operation
To use, simply hold against the surface of the material under investigation. The relative moisture level is measured by radio frequency to a nominal depth of 10-20mm.
There are no needles to mark the surface and the Aquant is not adversely affected by moisture.
