The Elcometer 24285 Portable Abrasive Blast Machine (part numbers M24285-GV1-B through M24285-AGV2-N) is a 285 litre twin wheeled blast pot for continuous, high production abrasive blasting, on site or in a blast room. The extra capacity over the 200 litre machines means longer runs between refills and, where set up for it, blasting from a single pot by one or two operators at once, which lifts overall productivity on larger jobs.
The 285 litre pot of the Elcometer 24285 Portable Abrasive Blast Machine holds up to 667kg of garnet grit or 1254kg of steel shot, and is well suited to filling from a storage hopper. Construction is heavy duty 6mm steel with 38mm pipework, a maximum working pressure of 12bar and an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees C. The pot is 610mm in diameter, stands 1665mm high and weighs 231kg, while the twin wheeled frame keeps a loaded machine safe and easy to manoeuvre.
The Elcometer 24285 Portable Abrasive Blast Machine is available with a range of grit valves to suit the application, in General Valve (GV) and Automatic General Valve (AGV) forms, Kit 1 or Kit 2, each in PED and ASME pressure variants. Kits add the RCV4000+ remote control valve, deadman's handle, choke valve, moisture separator and blast hose, and the machine is quick to service.
