The Elcometer 1440 Portable Abrasive Blast Machine 40 litre - 12bar is a compact, wheeled blast pot built for mobile contractors carrying out small blasting applications, touch-up work and spot blasting. Its compact size and heavy duty wheels make it easy to manoeuvre in small or confined spaces where a larger blast machine cannot be moved, so it suits maintenance and localised surface preparation jobs.

The Elcometer 1440 Portable Abrasive Blast Machine 40 litre has a 40 litre pot of heavy duty 6mm construction, with a 355mm pot diameter and 38mm pipework. It holds approximately 94kg of garnet grit or 176kg of steel shot, and carries a maximum working pressure of 12bar across an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. Overall it stands 1015mm high, 615mm wide and 714mm deep, and weighs 95kg. It is built to be quick and easy to service, which maximises uptime.

The 1440 is available with a range of grit valves to suit the application, supplied across kit options that pair the pot with components such as a remote control valve, pneumatic control hose and deadman's handle, choke valve, moisture separator and, on the larger kits, a 20m blast hose with nozzle holder. Part numbers cover automatic general valve (AGV) and general valve (GV) builds with BSP or NPT thread couplings. It is supplied with a full 12 month warranty. Used by surface preparation and corrosion-protection contractors, it is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised Elcometer distributor.
