The 139 Illuminated Pocket Microscope is a handheld microscope with built-in illumination, available as the 139-30X at thirty times magnification and the 139-100X with a 60X-80X-100X zoom, used to observe fine detail that cannot be seen with the naked eye. It addresses a practical inspection problem, that surface defects, weld faults, plating flaws and inadequate coating adhesion are often too small to judge without magnification and proper lighting.

A focusing wheel adjusts the precision lens to bring the specimen into sharp view, and a rotatable direct light source pinpoints the light onto the object so detail stands out. The 139 Illuminated Pocket Microscope - 30X and 100X Zoom is patented in the USA and Canada and is CE rated. It measures 145 x 45 x 25 mm and runs on two AA batteries. An optional stand of 73 x 47 x 35 mm with spring clips holds specimen slides and similar items.

The 139 is used by paint and corrosion inspectors, consultants, and mechanical, civil and electrical engineers, as well as scientists and inspectors. It also suits laboratory work, electronic repairs and checking printed circuit boards. The 30X and 100X models cover different needs, with the 30X better for spanning narrow cracks and the zoom 100X for the finest detail.
