The MontiPower Cordless Bristle Blaster is a battery-powered surface preparation tool that removes corrosion and generates an anchor profile using a rotary bristle belt, with a built-in safety switch. Running cordless removes the need for an air line or trailing cable, which makes it easier to prepare surfaces in areas that are difficult to access, for instance at great heights where dragging a hose is impractical.
The MontiPower Cordless Bristle Blaster runs at 2,300 rpm free speed for single belt operation and draws from an 18 V battery, delivering a maximum output of 700 Watt. An 8Ah/18V battery gives approximately 25 minutes of surface preparation time per charge. The accelerator bar is adjustable so the belt can be set to reach awkward objects and profiles. The MontiPower Cordless Bristle Blaster measures 420 mm long without the battery, 160 mm high including the handle and 80 mm wide, weighs 2.2 kg without the battery, and has a vibration figure of 4 m/sec2.
Chargers and battery packs are part of the Cordless Alliance System, so machines, battery packs and chargers from different tools in that system can be combined. The MontiPower Cordless Bristle Blaster suits surface preparation in coatings and corrosion protection work where access is limited, and is supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.
