Leneta Test Charts are standardised paper substrates used in coatings laboratories to apply, draw down and evaluate paint and ink films under controlled, repeatable conditions. Elcometer supplies a wide range of Leneta Test Charts, from plain white through to charts carrying different patterns of black and white, so that hiding power, opacity, colour and gloss can be assessed against a known background.

The Leneta Test Charts are made from naturally bright, non-fluorescent white paper. Because they contain no optical brighteners, they do not add fluorescence that would otherwise distort instrumental colour measurements, which matters when results have to be compared batch to batch or against a specification. The black and white patterned Leneta Test Charts give a contrasting ground for judging how well a film hides the surface beneath it.

For applications that call for a rigid or specialised background, Foil Card substrates are available in steel, aluminium, glass and plastic.
