The MontiPower Bristle Blaster Pneumatic Set Double is a pneumatic surface preparation tool that removes corrosion and generates an anchor profile in a single pass using a rotary bristle belt. Before a protective coating is applied, steel has to be cleaned of rust and given a roughened profile for the coating to key into, and Bristle Blasting does both at once, producing a texture and visual cleanliness that mimics traditional grit blasting without the need for costly abrasive blast equipment.

The bristle belts remove corrosion, coatings, mill scale and other contaminants without cutting into healthy material, and they restore corroded and pitted surfaces to a near-white or white metal appearance with no grinding or polishing. The process generates anchor profiles from 2.5 to 3.3 mil, including on weld seams, edges, around bolts and over surface irregularities, and it produces compressive residual stress that improves crack growth resistance, service life and corrosion resistance. The MontiPower Bristle Blaster Pneumatic Set Double measures about 310 x 100 mm and 170 mm high including the handle, weighs 1.6 kg and runs at 80 dB(A). One belt needs 6 bar (87 psi) and two belts need 8 bar (116 psi), with air consumption of 0.75 m3/min (26.5 cfm) through an Rp ¼" connection and a 9.5 mm (3/8") hose.
