About this product

The Telaire T9501 Humidity and Temperature Sensor is a combined humidity and temperature sensor that communicates over the MODBUS protocol, intended to integrate directly into control and monitoring systems. Because it is supplied fully calibrated and temperature compensated, it is ready to use without further calibration or temperature compensation, which removes a common source of setup error and drift in field installations.

The sensor is built around an individually calibrated and tested ChipCap 2 element using a capacitive polymer RH sensor and a PTAT integrated temperature sensor. Relative humidity is measured with 14-bit resolution (0.01% RH) and an accuracy of plus or minus 2.0% RH between 20 and 80% RH, widening to plus or minus 3.5% RH at the extremes. Temperature is measured at 14-bit resolution to plus or minus 0.5 degrees C over an operating range of -20 to 70 degrees C. Long term drift is low, at under 0.5% RH per year and under 0.05 degrees C per year under normal conditions.

The Telaire T9501 Humidity & Temperature Sensor is housed in an IP67 water-resistant package and rated for harsh environments, with a Heater Mode for condensation recovery. Communication is digital RS485 MODBUS, configurable at 115,200 baud, powered from 8 to 32 VDC with polarity protection and low current consumption. Applications include air conditioning, refrigeration, indoor air quality, marine environments, agriculture, food processing and weather stations. Supplied by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.
