The Sagola MP2 Breathing Mask (part number PT14810201) is a half-mask respirator supplied with an A1 filter set that protects the user against the inhalation of organic chemicals with a boiling point above 65 degrees C. Spray finishing, paint mixing and solvent handling release vapours that are hazardous over a working shift, so a correctly rated respirator is a basic requirement for anyone applying coatings in an enclosed environment.
The mask covers the user's nose, mouth and beard, and adapts to facial gestures and movement so the seal holds while work continues. It is built from strong, lightweight materials that are non-hazardous for health and hygiene, keeping it comfortable enough to wear for the full duration of a task. Each unit is composed of the face mask and two filters, and provides protection against A type gases.
The MP2 conforms to UNE-EN 140:1998, the European standard for half masks and quarter masks, and to Directive UE 2016/425 covering personal protective equipment. It is used by spray painters, refinishers and industrial finishers wherever organic solvent vapours are present. The Sagola Classic MP2 mask is supplied in packs of ten by BAMR, South Africa's authorised distributor.
