Across our marketplace our suppliers are experiencing sudden and continuing cost increases to raw materials and services.

Here is an extract from recent correspondence from Elcometer:
“Over the last 12 months, we have started to see the impact of COVID on component and raw material availability and costs and whilst we have, and will continue to take every opportunity to maximise cost reductions throughout our operational network, on this occasion we do need to increase our prices to reflect these external pressures which are beyond our control.”

This has heightened in recent months due to the current global instability of goods and logistics due to Covid-19. The impact of this has meant that most of our suppliers have recently increased their pricing.

It’s no secret that the economy has been hit hard – with small businesses being the most affected. BAMR is supported by many of these small businesses and it’s been difficult to see the struggles they’re facing – especially with the knowledge that many of these small business owners are the breadwinners of their respective households.

Taking the current economic climate into consideration, we are happy to let you know that BAMR have decided to absorb these increases, and not to increase pricing at the moment. We will re-assess our position in a few months’ time.
